DSCR RULES, REGULATIONS, POLICIES AND MEMBER'S CODE OF CONDUCT
DSCR is a "car enthusiast" club that welcomes anyone who shares a common interest in cars. Anyone is welcome to join the club (or any of our affiliate clubs). No person and/or car will be discriminated against. By joining
DSCR, you are bound by the club rules, regulations, policies and member code of conduct (as outlined below). As a DSCR member, you are representative of the club but if you choose NOT to abide by the rules, regulations, policies and code of conduct set forth, you will be given a warning to stop - if your actions continue, the DSCR Administration will ask you to leave the club.
A) GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS: DSCR does not promote, endorse nor encourage any of the following activities and/or actions:
Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Illegal street racing
Disregard for basic road safety and laws
Aggressive or disrespectful behaviour towards other DSCR members
DSCR is NOT responsible for the actions of any
individual(s) representing DSCR and those actions DO NOT necessarily reflect the intentions of
DSCR.
B) CREW MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT: As a member of the DSCR crew (representing), you are responsible for:
Obeying the rules of the road (including all posted speed limits, all traffic laws including those related to noise levels, and while traveling in groups on the road, etc.)
NOT drawing unnecessary attention to DSCR such as through excessive levels of music, engine noise, "peel-outs", etc.
Your own actions while participating in an "OFFICIAL" DSCR event or gathering.
Your own actions even while participating in a "NON-OFFICIAL" DSCR meeting. BE SMART. For example, meeting fellow crew members for coffee behave responsibly.
Treating fellow DSCR crew members with the same respect you want to be treated with.
Maintaining a non-aggressive attitude and atmosphere among fellow crew members.
Reporting any "unacceptable" behaviour or actions to the DSCR Admin.
C) OFFICIAL EVENTS AND GATHERINGS / REPRESENTATION POLICIES: DSCR organizes and promotes LEGITIMATE and LEGAL events and gatherings for its members such as:
Track days at Shannonville
Test & Tune day gatherings at Cayuga Dragways & St. Thomas.
Participation in local Autocrossing events (weekends)
Gokarting days
Only events organized or planned from the DSCR Admin. (or, that have the approval of the DSCR Admin.) are to be considered an "official" DSCR event or gathering.
One of the goals of DSCR is to create and organize the proper channels for its members to direct their energy (such as through the legitimate events listed above).
Notice: Impromptu gatherings of members do NOT represent an "official" club gathering or event and DSCR will not be held responsible for any such occurrences. If you are representing DSCR by participating in an unofficial event or gathering, you still must abide by the crew member code of conduct.
* DSCR reserves the right to remove any persons from the club without any notice. DSCR also reserves the right to refuse entry into the club. DSCR is not liable for the actions of any of its crew members. DSCR reserves the right to change any of its club rules at any time without notice.
